Art Philosophy / Who we are
In 2004 we sold our restaurant in Charlotte to fulfill our dream of living in North Carolina's beautiful mountains. We planned to open a restaurant here in Brevard, but when we arrived we discovered there were a lot of nice restaurants - but no place where you could buy a really good, from-scratch, decorated-to-your-specifications cake for a birthday or another special occasion. Since baking had always been our favorite part of our restaurant and catering business, we knew what we had to do...
And here we are, baking cakes, and cookies, and pastry - and now serving lunches and catering your office and home events as well. We bake fresh every day, using local ingredients whenever possible. We shop at the tailgate market across from our store in the summer, get our eggs from the Future Farmers club at the high school, and feature local produce when it's at its best. And we support local artisans buy carrying their pottery, photography and fiber arts. In addition, we host local musicians who play here regularly.
