Throughout my travels I have seen beautiful creatures and gorgeous landscapes. Painting is my way of uncovering the artistry from my adventures and in the everyday, enjoy.
Artist Philosophy /Bio
Much of my childhood was spent watching my Mother paint landscapes and exhibit her work. At the age of 20, I presumed my work was good enough for a local gallery. After the critical face-to-face review of my first series, I sat in my car and cried. Realizing the need to further my knowledge, I pursued an education in art and psychology.
I have always been fascinated by the complexities of both human nature and color. The exploration of these relationships and their inherent chaos is important to the structure of my work. The exhilaration of creating art has solidified my life path as an artist.
I have a constant sea of designs, assemblages and paintings running through my mind. As a painter and sculptor, I desire to encompass the rhythm of color by routinely changing both process and materials.
A collector once commented about my work: “Your paintings are a symphony in a sea of folk music”. To hear such a heartfelt expression from a supporter of my work fills my heart with joy. I think of how happy my mother would be to see the growth of my art.
