Music educator, composer/arranger, pianist, woodwind specialist.
Artist Philosophy /Bio
Although I have performed with several name bands and a symphony orchestra I find that the true joy in music is the sharing and teaching of it to others. I have had the pleasure of teaching music to very young beginners and advanced professional musicians, this continues to inspire me, and I remain grateful that I have had this experience.
My teaching career includes teaching at a public elementary school and a private high school. At both of these schools I wrote all of the methods, materials, and performance music used by my students. Currently I have a very well implemented private studio for teaching and I also teach for the University of Maine summer arts program. Several of my students are graduates of the Berklee School of Music and the North Texas State University jazz studies program. These students have successful careers in music and can be heard on numerous recordings.
You are now listening to 2 of my compositions, "Invention for Trumpet and Saxophone and Solo for Oboe and Piano", I hope you enjoy them. And be sure to click on the hyperlink to see some of my friends and former students.
